I wish life was always done on mountaintops but it doesn’t work that way, does it? . Throwing it back to the summer time when my baby was sort of kind of still a baby and the weather was warm enough for tank tops. . PS looking for family friendly hikes in the Asheville area! By ‘family friendly’ I mean one a 2 year old could walk herself. No paved trails (unless they are truly awesome)- as wild and free as possible, please! DM me with your favorites or leave a comment below! 😘
It's a delight working with these beauties today... Plus pure Turquoise. Sweet! βœ¨πŸ’™ #turquoise
My philosophy in life is this - choose joy, always. I know sometimes it’s not easy. Sometimes there are so many things going on in our lives that joy seems like it’s not even an option. But I want you to know something; 1. Joy is something we must intentionally choose, as much as we can - if we want it. Sometimes, it’s something that we must fight for, hard. And hey, even if we don’t choose it as often as we’d like to, just remember - that next moment is coming up, and in every moment you have the opportunity to choose again, and again and again. So, I guess my point here is to simply remind you that, yeh it’s not always easy, but that’s why we practice - to choose joy, as much as we can, over and over again - if we want it. And, 2. You, you are something else. Many of us often think that we are just one, and we don’t matter that much. But let me tell you this - we are a collective, and you my dear, you matter SO MUCH. By choosing joy as much as you can, you’re raising your own vibration (happy vibes), and by raising your own vibration - you’re raising the vibe of our WHOLE PLANET. Just pause for a moment and let that sink in. Don’t ever forget not even for a single second that you, all of you, even the part you try to hide away, even the part you called broken - you matter, you’re SO worth loving, and you are pure magic ✨ Photo - @henri.pham
I've had a slow day of unpacking, sorting, futzing, going through mail and doing laundry. I also had a walk in the garden to see the spoils of summer's end and I have a pot roast in the oven because my husband is ready for proper food again πŸ˜‚ Then tomorrow it's back to work! πŸ”Ά I took this picture in a coffee shop in Cairo. It was so hot that day. I've been cool to cold since I got home but this memory makes me feel warmer! πŸ”Ά
Reason 143 that I love autumn...toadstools, toadstools everywhere! I’ve trained the little to also spot them too now. Fingers crossed he’ll forever think they’re magical little fairy houses πŸ„βœ¨

With all the autumn produce in the grocery store I've been craving fresh, simple ingredients for our meals πŸ₯”πŸ₯•πŸŽπŸ§€πŸ† My husband will sometimes pick me up a magazine or two during his work day and I'm flipping pages trying to find new inspiration 🌽 I always love Modern Farmer @modfarm's magazine for their articles and wholesome meal ideas. Do you have a go to for new recipe ideas? #tastythursdaydecor
What i love about Maya Angelous words is that she had the courage and confidence to speak the truth and how she empowered and continues to empower women. If you've read her words or poems you know she sometimes really had a nerve to say things straight yet she always manage to stay warm and compassionate. This world needs people who inspires others to grow and care and we can all be that for each other 'cause every little thing and act truly matters. . . Here's few strong words from her πŸ’– "Most people don’t grow up. It’s too damn difficult. What happens is most people get older. That’s the truth of it. They honor their credit cards, they find parking spaces, they marry, they have the nerve to have children, but they don’t grow up. Not really. They get older. But to grow up costs the earth, the earth. It means you take responsibility for the time you take up, for the space you occupy. It’s serious business. And you find out what it costs us to love and to lose, to dare and to fail. And maybe even more, to succeed. What it costs, in truth. Not superficial costs—anybody can have that—I mean in truth.”
