Thank you to the @originswashington cannabis guides who visited our lab last week to learn about cannabis extraction hands on! This group asked some great questions - a sign that they truly care about satisfying customers. They recognize the importance of terpenes to shape and influence the high and benefits of cannabis. Thank you to the budtenders and cannabis guides everywhere who are helping elevate the cannabis industry by helping people find what actually serves them. --- #cannabis #cannabisguide #extraction #extracts #budtender #bud #origins #westseattle #learn #edenlabs #cannabistech #lab #science #co2 #mmj #medicalmarijuana #marijuana #710 #oil #vape #420 #co2 #supercritical #terps #terpenes #terpsauce #terpguides

Hydrogen Hydrogen-H; atomic number 1; non-metal; Gas at room temperature (20 degrees celsius); Melting pont (-250 degrees celsius); Boiling point (-253 degrees celsius) Hydrogen a colourless and odourless gas that exist in the diatonic form H2 was one of the first three elements produced during the big bang that occur more than 13 billion years ago; it is the most abundant element in the universe; and it is the lightest (lighter than air) of all element. It is the fuel that keeps our Sun and stars burning. In 1766, Henry Cavendish, a wealthy British scientist who first isolated hydrogen, found it to be highly flammable. He was also the first person to prove that when hydrogen burns it forms water. During the Great war (1914-1918), zeppelins (filled with hydrogen gas) were used for reconnaissance missions and bombing raids on London. It became popular in the 19th century, but dreams of using hydrogen to enable long-distance flight ended with Hindenburg airship disaster of 1937. Hydrogen has been proposed as a replacement for fossil fuels in cars- when burnt, it produces harlmess water instead of carbon dioxide. #science #chemistry #biology #periodictable #physics #instagram #minimalist #minimal
| Intermittent Fasting | Thanks to @austinbrowe for sending me a bunch of studies on IF. I will go into detail on each study he sent me. The link to this study can be found here -https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/19793855/. 16 obese subjects underwent a 10 week trial where they found their maintenance calories the first two weeks, followed by a 4 week alternate day fasting protocol where they ate normally on one day and 25% of their calories in a 2 hour window the next day. They followed this with the same 4 week protocol except that the subjects were able to choose their foods. After 10 weeks subjects lost around 11-12 lbs of body weight, 3% body fat, lowered their systolic bp, LDL, and triaglycerol concentrations. What was striking with this study was that the overall adherence to the diet protocol was very great (86%). The subjects were recruited via advertising and may have been motivated to lose weight or also were motivated to adhere knowing that they were part of a weightloss study. One of the major drawbacks of this study which the study does a good job of addressing is the lack of a control group. I would expect similar results to have been found if another group ate 62.5% of their maintenance calories every day for 8 weeks as caloric restricted RCTs have shown very similar results. Cholesterol and triaglycerol concentration decreases were associated with weight loss but were not attributed to the fasting itself. In fact those numbers were the same when measured on normal food intake days and fasting days. Main take away of this study is that over the course of 10 weeks, alternate day fasting (25% calories on fast days) in individuals who are obese can expect to lower their body weight, cholesterol levels, and body fat. This does not mean that ADF is more effective than a caloric restrictive diet but does show another protocol one could follow to lose weight based upon preference. At the end of the day, the major universal factor to weight loss and

@beautybydrcat stapling the skin!!! ”Part of the artistry of a tummy tuck is knowing how much skin to remove and shaping it in a way that is even without dog ears or bunches. The goal is to remove the maximum amount of skin so it is tight and flat without creating tension and removing it evenly over the entire flap without bunching.” Check her posts out. @beautybydrcat is an inspirational woman on IG. #repost @nasa (@get_repost) ・・・ Jupiter, you’re bluetiful 💙! Churning swirls of Jupiter’s clouds are seen in striking shades of blue in this new view taken by our Juno spacecraft (@NASAJuno). The color-enhanced image was taken when the spacecraft was only 11,747 miles from the tops of the planet’s clouds. This color-enhanced image, which captures a cloud system in Jupiter’s northern hemisphere, was taken on Oct. 24 when Juno was performing its ninth close flyby of the gas giant planet. Because of the Juno-Jupiter-Sun angle when the spacecraft captured this image, the higher-altitude clouds can be seen casting shadows on their surroundings. The behavior is most easily observable in the whitest regions in the image, but also in a few isolated spots in both the bottom and right areas of the image.
