I have fallen in love with creating. That’s the reason I fell in love with photography in the first place I think. The only thing I liked in school growing up was art class, the feeling you get when you get to just CREATE something beautiful for the world to see. Something that you dream up in your head and then bring to life. Weather has cancelled all of my shoots for the past 2 weeks so yesterday when I got to just run around @thelumenroom with @emajacks (& run around the parking lot outside) I was seriously in heaven. There is just something about doing what sets you on fire. Love Love Love this shot. Thank you @emajacks for crawling into a plant for this. ✨
A year ago, I had just engaged in a whole new chapter of my business and opened a studio. I learned so many things about my business, but more importantly about myself. I've never seen myself as a consistent person and I found that maybe I'm better at that then I thought. I learned when you have to pay rent you have to work 😀 and the best word I have to describe working last year is HUSTLE. I also learned that I have a breaking point. This was the hardest lesson but the most important. We all have to learn how much we can take on and that everything we take on has a price. To give you all an update: I've moved my studio to my house, we are currently renovating a room in our house to be a beautiful office/studio. I feel a small sense of loss but I know that it's for a greater purpose. I'll give updates on the progress of the studio, can't wait for it to be finished!
