I have taken many different forms of creatine, but have noticed its benefits most when supplementing in the forms of creatine monohydrate and hydrochloride (hcl). ๐Ÿ”ธCreatine Monohydrate๐Ÿ”ธ Monohydrate is the purest, most studied and proven effective form of creatine. If you are okay with a little bloat, then you should be okay to take this form. 5 grams  daily should be all you need, and taking more than this is never necessary. ๐Ÿ”ธCreatine HCl๐Ÿ”ธ Bloating does not occur with this form of creatine in my experiences. HCl is absorbed by your muscles better than monohydrate. Today was a hard day. This morning, my family and I said “goodbye” to my precious grandpa, and the funeral left me feeling pretty deflated. . When I’m feeling down, my natural instinct is to curl up under a blanket and #binge on salty snacks. Sounds nice, right? I mean, my grandpa died...I should be allowed to do what I want. . But let’s be real and call that what it is: self-sabotage. That behavior is helpful for no one. It will not make me feel better. I will experience regret, which will further upset me in the long run. . This evening, I literally dragged myself off of the couch and to the #gym for a #shoulderworkout. Was it the best #workout I’ve ever done? Heck no. I was slow and lazy and not trying my best. But I was THERE, and I left feeling much better than when I arrived. . ALL of this to say: we can’t trust our emotions all the time. We lie to ourselves, and often think only of the present, and not of the consequences. I am totally convinced that #discipline is the key to this #fitnessjourney.
