Beautiful sunshine peaking through the clouds after a major storm in the sierras. I'm sad it's my last day in the mountains but I'm ready for the next adventure! . . . . . #travel #adventure #clouds #sunshine #sky #trees #sierranevadas #california #unitedstates #wanderlust #letsgo #amazing #beautiful #nature #travellife #mountains #placercounty #naturelover #natureaddict
#repost from @thewildpine because this means so much to me! πŸ’• I wanted to share one last capture from our time in Tahoe- as well my personal collection of jewels with you (Channeled @brokenpinestudio, with a dash of Herimone and a nod to Elsa of course βœ¨β„οΈ) To me, my personal collection of jewelry isn't just a handful pretty gems-each and every piece has special meaning, representative of a significant time in my life. The vintage ring at the top of the icicle was the first thing I bought with my meager paycheck as a wilderness guide in upstate Wisconsin- my best friend helped me pick it out and I wore it all through college. It celebrates the growth, challenge and connection I experienced during those years. The next ring down as well as the bottom ring were the first ever pieces I made in my little studio- while rough and flawed, I will never forget the immense elation and pride I had upon completion- I had quit my job and taken a huge risk in choosing the life of an artist; these two rings gave me hope and courage to push forward in bringing my dreams to fruition. The third ring down was a gift from my husband on our first Christmas together- a vintage Navajo piece he picked out himself to give to me- the ring on my pointer finger being his Christmas gift to me this year, made by my good friend Shannon of @brokenpinestudio. It reminds me of the generosity and thoughtfulness of my lifelong partner-in-crime, as well as the amazing community I have experienced as I started this metalsmithing journey. I could go on and on- but anyway- my hope is that each and every piece I create for @thewildpine will become a meaningful and significant piece that will be worn for generations, and become a sort of "trail marker" for the trail that the wearer is walking in their life. 🌲

It's always so hard to come back to LA from the Sierras. Already dreaming about my trip to Tahoe next month!
I know it's been a while but this is what clear skies look like. Is it too early in the week to start making weekend goals? ❄️️❄️️❄️️
What a crazy weekend! Got my first days of skiing this season at @mammothmountain! Mammoth got 118" of new snow in the last week and it's been the snowiest month in their recorded history. We got snowed in an extra day due to highway closures and decided to ski/ride while we waited for the roads to open. Though much of the mountain was closed we still were able to find chest deep powder! #californiaskiing #downhillskiing #rossignol #mammothmountain #mountains #sunsets #blueskies #snowedin #powdersnow #freshpow #roadtrip #adventuretime #california #sierranevadas
That's my truck behind me (about 5 feet of snow on the ground). I'm making the best of it though. The sun's shining and I'm still sporting my, "San Jose Sharks" scarf! GO SHARKS! @sanjosesharks @aaron_byrd_loveless Thanks again for the scarf Aaron! #off_the_grid #gosharks #snowedin #cabinfever #sunshine #sierranevadas #westslopebestslope
#iflyalaska #sierranevadas Flying home to Seattle
The view outside the shop this morning. Snow as far as the eye can see. Beautiful. #mcmaster_robots #sierranevadas #snowday #californiacool
