Day 17: #gratitudechallenge "Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people." I'm utterly thankful for this one @yomilokan ! Growing up with him was blissful. I remember last week when we sat down to reminisce of how I used to hold your hand on our way to school when we were younger... You said, "Kay you have always been there for me right from the beginning and am thankful". I feel so happy for our love; you have been the most wonderful brother to me (even sometimes you can be difficult). But today.. I'm thankful to God for bringing you to our family. Thank you for being my best friend boy. Thank you for always helping me out when I need you most, even when I cheat you, you never complained. Thank you for being honest - it can be brutal sometimes - when I share some ideas with you. But I'm blessed and I’m grateful to God!
There is a reason you are reading this right now, at this very moment in time. This is a message you need to hear. You are not alone. The world itself longs for you to stay, is yearning for you to remain. The earth is calling. Listen! There it is, in the warmth of the sun’s rays upon your upturned face, in the cool breeze that caresses your skin, in the song of a bird, the wonder of leaf and flower. The message is there to hear. The earth is begging you not to give up. For all its darkness, there is light left in which to walk, if only the eyes are unbound from despair. Reach out. Talk to someone. There is love out there; there is love all around you. Just because you can’t feel it doesn’t mean it’s gone. Don’t believe the darkness. It is a liar and a thief.
Day 16: #gratitudechallenge I'm thankful for my mom - I did not do anything to deserve her, but God blessed me with her. She loves and cares for me, she believes in me always, she gives meaning to the word "home" and it's always a pleasure to visit. When we need her, she sets everything aside to attend to us. She taught us the value of a relationship with God - even when we don't understand some certain things -- she taught us to keep trusting God. Ours is not to understand but to trust and believe in Him no matter what. Thank you mom for being such an amazing person, you have made unlimited sacrifices for our family and we are very grateful for God in you.
