here is are some long-promised pictures of last quarter's final project. creating this was definitely one of the most fun things I've done so far. I was given the chance to use the 3D printer that evcc owns, so long as I made a package to go with it. the planter that I originally designed was 4"x4" and was going to take 13 hours to print! so I shrunk it down to 2"x2" and decreased the thickness; I was disappointed with how rough the walls came out at first, but after spray painting I fell in love with them; they really look intentional and I think they actually complete the look! the next part was designing the package. after many hours of searching pinterest, I finally landed on this style of package. I chose to use target at the brand that I was pretending to design for because I felt like this was the sort of product that would be found there. from there I sketched a few ideas, but I had a general idea of how I wanted it to look in my mind and so the design portion came together pretty quickly. I love how the finished piece looks! thank you kyle for the pictures!
You should have a little guess what it is BEFORE you swipe the photo...
