✨ 2 PRs today! ✨ Sometimes you gotta blow your own damn mind 😲 It's not that I don't believe in myself, or believe that I'm strong, but I couldn't even clean 165 a few months ago, and I just cleaned 180 today and it felt easier than my clean PR of 175 earlier this week!! I also PR'd my clean and jerk today at 170. πŸ˜‚ Not only that, but I also dropped 10 pounds since February. I wake up and I see the scale say 116 and I don't believe it haha and then I put weight on the bar and I'm like, is that really that weight?! πŸ€”let me count it 50 times to make sure.  it's incredible what the body can do! Aright, I know I bitched about tracking my macros before, but I'm back to it. Honestly, taking a break from it is what I needed because now I'm more motivated then ever, and I know my body and how it responds, plus I need to maintain my body weight (53kg). I've decided to make the switch from crossfit over into the Olympic Weightlifting world, and yes now that I'm saying it out loud, it's in the universe. I'm having a hard time mentally thinking about giving up a lot of my cardio/crossfit training BUT I am excited to focus more on just weight lifting. If you know me, you know I LOVE cardio and metcons. It's a whole other sport, new lingo, different type of training than I'm used to, but I'm ready for it and I want it more than anything πŸ‹πŸ»‍♀️Like I always say, do what makes YOU happy. Find something that excites you and makes you happy to get out of bed in the morning. This year one of my goals was to front squat 200# and today was finally that day 😭 With an injury that set me back for 6 weeks with no squatting (and I swear i thought I'd never be able to squat again..) this is my first time front squatting since then, and I guess rest is what I needed. Ever since my hip flexor injury, I've been CRAZY about making sure I'm properly warmed up now. I take a good 20-30 minutes at least before I start weightlifting. I HATE HATE HATE not feeling warmed up! . .
