All set for Memorial Day Weekend (almost) after stopping in @barefruitsugaringandbrows for some all natural sugar waxing, also known as "Sugaring" What is sugaring? Sugaring is a form of waxing using the ingredients of sugar, lemon juice and water. Crazy right? This has been a practice of many ancient cultures. What are some pros of sugaring? 🍋No artificial or harmful ingredients used: The ingredients are better to put on your skin for health purposes and ecofriendly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 🍋A sugaring substrate sticks to and essentially removes hair without attaching to the skin. It is said that this is better for long term use compared to traditional waxing to avoid the skin being pulled and future sagging. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 🍋The same piece of wax is used for most of the process, so there is a considerable decreased risk of burning. Scroll right for photo of the very tasteful Studio. I was really impressed with the powder they used on my skin after the treatment. Instead of using baby powder, which contains talc and known to lead to cancer (ovarian when used in that area), they use an all natural powder with an arrowroot base. Also, the primer used before waxing contained great ingredients such as: Organic Aloe, Witch Hazel, Tee Trea, Black Willowbark, Extract Cocofoam and i and a mild preservative, but overall a much healthier/safer option than many other products on the market and used in this setting. @barefruitsugaringandbrows gives a complimentary glitter tatoo to put wherever you choose after getting a brazilian. I picked out a dolphin and got opaque blue glitter. I was definitely overly excited about this, and still am. 🐬 Has anyone else done sugaring before? I tried to do it myself at home previously and it was an epic fail lol.
