Wrapping up this week of travel through the Midwest with a quick trip home 💕 It’s been five days since my last home cooked meal so needless to say I was SO excited to be back in the kitchen and also get to cook for the ‘rents tonight. Picked up some fresh cod for them (because they’re picky AF) and salmon for me and made a Parmesan garlic crust + a side of asparagus. I sure did miss this! TGIF everyone 🙌🏻
WHAT IS THE WORLD TELLING ME I am in actual disbelief @kayla_itsines posted me again. I like to think of it as the world rewarding me for the strongest work of my life I did 49 weeks ago. This badass female army had the power to CHANGE me. I conquered my scary mentality before it headed to a worse and worse place. 👏🏾 Find 👏🏾 your👏🏾 balance. . The biggest changes between these 45 weeks? 1️⃣ Now the gym isn’t a chore. I don’t wake up dreading the trip. I workout for the E M P O W E R M E N T. To see how strong I am that day. That shift in mindset came purely from trusting the variety & process of @kayla_itsines’ BBG. 2️⃣I eat 4 times more. That is not an exaggeration. I was following stupid (ineffective) self-imposed “rules” on the left. Now I eat whatever sounds good. I don’t count macros or calories (too risky for my obsessive type A personality!), but I do generally eat healthy-ish choices? I still eat so many sweets because I ENJOY them. I just usually go for the protein and veggie heavy savory meal because I’m not going to ENJOY the fried chicken. That’s how I find my balance. That’s not a disorder, and that was something I had to realize and trust myself on. You don’t need to eat donuts to be “normal” — it’s OK if donuts make you feel kinda sad after! They aren’t good for anyone! I hate hyper-awareness and judgment from others more than anything🙄. 3️⃣ I know what makes me happy. I know my sources of strength. I know what defines my balance. I have the confidence to do me, stay happy, stay healthy, all while ENJOYING L I F E along the way 🤗 . Any questions or anything specific you want to know more about DM me! The breakfast bars that I made last night turned out wonderfully!! I love them because I know exactly what went into them, unlike most protein bars found in stores! 😍and it's legit better than any protein/breakfast bar I've ever tasted. AND is the perfect snack for me today and tomorrow while traveling! ✖️1/2 C natural pb ✖️1/4 C maple flavored agave syrup ✖️1 tsp. Vanilla extract ✖️3 Tbs. chia seeds ✖️4 Tbs. raw pumpkin seeds ✖️2 Tbs. unsweetened shredded coconut ✖️1/2 C gluten free oats ✖️a few cut up dates ✖️1/2 C vanilla Shakeology ---> melt the pb and agave in microwave for 20 seconds then mix everything together in a bowl, put in a 8x8 baking dish and refrigerate for at least an hour. Cut into rectangles, grab, and go! #teamlivefit
Fridaaay! Started off with W15 abs... alll the sit up & twists 😱😱 and a high protein breakfast of cottage cheese, cherry jam, blueberries, milled seeds and extra sunflower seeds 😋 and now for the weekend 😴
I'm waiting at the doctors office to get a $350 medical check (apparently getting a visa is expensive?! 😱) and I just bought a chai latte that was supposed to be sweet but was definitely spicy but ya know what? I went for a run this morning and I'm seeing some of my best friends today and life is SO good 💖 I'm feeling so excited and motivated for this next chapter in my life 🤸♂️ Hope you beauties are having an amazing day! 😘😘😘
FIRST OF ALL! My favorite Greek yogurt dip was buy one get one FREE at @meijerstores so I obviously had to buy it or two and got two free😳 what🤷🏻♀️ it's macro friendly 🙂 and I got some snack factory buffalo pretzels to go with it 😍
Sometimes I a bit of an emotional roller coaster when I workout 🎢 . I get excited and laugh at my mistakes. 😆 . I get frustrated and cuss because I’m struggling. 🙆🏼 . I get upset and cry because my mind wanders! 👊🏼 . I shout for joy when I’m finished because I’m so damn proud that I didn’t stop 🙌🏼👏🏼 . I am SO freaking thankful for the ability to workout at home. So on days when I’m feeling like I’ve got only a couple marbles left in my basket, I can still get my sweat on😝🙈
