Companionship People often ask me about how it is to travel solo. And I often tell them to find out themself because unless you go you'll never know. Though it's a bit like trying to find out what's going inside a drunk man's mind, but I can give it a try. For me it's not just about exploring the road less travelled or finding peace, but also companionship of other backpackers with whom I share the same vibe. Some of the best stories I've heard in my life have come from people who travel. It's just about last night that I met Vikram, and then Saani and then Shiv..Sachin and Mahima. Or actually, a cross-country rider, the guy who just quit his job, the classical singer etc. etc. Over beer, laughter, music and never ending stories from around the world, time flowed like water and somewhere in between you realize the fragility of goodness. As the morning awakens, everyone goes on their own path of self-discovery. It always gives me a tinge of sadness as I punch in their phone numbers and wish them luck for the journey. But I must go on, in search of rainbows, trails, magic potions, lonely beaches and perhaps, some companionship.
