"WOW" is the first word that comes to mind when asked to describe tonight's dish. My uncle grilled up a bunch of churasco for dinner last night to celebrate my sister's birthday. Surprisingly there was an abundance of leftover steak. My family was throwing around some dinner options using the churasco in a repurposed way. My uncle suggested a hibachi style fried rice. We took a vote and decided that sounded delicious. So tonight my uncle and his sous chef (aka my sister Gabby) chopped up a bunch of typical fried rice veggies, the leftover steak, chicken and shrimp and made the most amazing fried rice. It of course was topped off with some signature samurai pink sauce. The meal was phenomenal. One for the books!! Until next time foodies!!
HealthIER turkey discada 🦃 🇲🇽 👌🏽 Discada is a popular Mexican dish which consists of a mixture of stir fried meats - typically beef and pork. Needless to say, it’s not very healthy. As a healthier alternative this discada uses a mixture of 3 different kinds of turkey meat - 97% fat free deli turkey, turkey sausage, and lean ground turkey - stir fried with tomato, onion, jalapeño, and cilantro . I actually prefer this over the traditional dish because it tastes just as good (if not better IMO) and it’s not as greasy. I paired it with some steamed veggies for a high protein/low carb meal . You can also make discada tacos which tastes incredible. If you haven’t already give it a try!
This is exactly what I needed. I have been craving hibachi and I got to enjoy this dinner with my dear friend. I have almost made it through finals! This first semester of freshman year was a doozy and I worked my booty off. But the hard work paid off and I’m ready to go home to spend five blissful weeks with my family! Until I have my last final, I’ll be here in my pjs watching the grinch movie with hot tea in my hand. HAPPY HAPPY DAY.
