HOW TO TRAIN TRICEPS -- General Notion: any type of push movement will work the triceps to some degree -- EXERCISES (1) Bench Press - incline, flat, decline, DB, BB (2) Cables - rope, v-bar, straight bar, single-arm (3) Shoulder Press - DB, OHP (4) DB Kickbacks - not my favorite (5) Skull Crushers - DB, BB (6) Overhead Tricep Extention - DB, BB -- For most people, just focus on a 1:2-3 compound movement (e.g. bench) to accessory movement (e.g. cable tricep extension) ratio. Use exercises you enjoy, can go relatively heavy with, and feel most comfortable executing (i.e. form, injury, etc.). For example, I have wrist pain during skull crushers -- Stay Strong. Stay Humble. We will sometimes to use this cue to an athlete who has difficulty keeping their knees in line with their feet. Pushing the knees out might also allow a lifter to keep the bar closer to their center of mass. Again, this is not for everyone. It may be natural for some and not others.
