It does not say anything about which foods you should eat, but rather when you should eat them. In this respect, it is not a "diet" in the conventional sense. It is more accurately described as an "eating pattern." — Intermittent fasting has been very popular for many years and several different methods have been used. All of them involve splitting the day or week into "eating periods" and "fasting periods." I've personally found the 16/8 method to be the simplest, most sustainable and easiest to stick to. It is also the most popular. — The 16/8 Method: involves skipping breakfast and restricting your daily eating period to 8 hours, for example from 1 pm to 9 pm. ( you eat your entire daily caloric intake in the 8hr window) Then you "fast" for 16 hours in between. • Guess you all like progress pictures. 🤷♀️😉 #2017bestnine . Progress pictures are great. Progress pictures are what keep me motivated. Extreme transformation pictures are fun to look at - they are inspiring, motivational, and prove what hard work can do. . But the extreme transformation pictures make it seem like we have it all together. That it’s easy for us to choose the healthier option everyday. That we are motivated daily. People look at my pictures and think I have this whole diet thing figured out :: when in reality I bought a jar of Cookie Butter from Trader Joe’s on Sunday and I had the whole jar finished by Thursday! #noregrets#iboughttwojars . What I’m trying to say is don’t just assume we have it figured out. Don’t assume we are motivated daily. Trust me when I say, we all struggle sometimes. We all feel like we are failing at this healthy lifestyle at different points. . So when someone looks at extreme transformation photos, I want them to know that we do NOT have it all figured out. I want them to know they ARE capable of having their own transformation. And most importantly, I want them to know they WILL fail and as long as they get back on track :: they will continue to succeed.
There is one year between these photos. A lot has happened this year. Who I was this time last year was someone who was unhappy, and insecure of myself. I never liked to go out, or socialize. I dreaded doing anything that required me leaving the house and I always had to fake my smile. This year I feel like I took back my life. I’m happier now than I have ever been before, and I can’t imagine going back to who I was before. I owe a lot to the other person in this photo though (my beautiful wife). She has always been there for me, cooking me healthy meals, encouraging me and always being super supportive and loving me through everything. I truly wouldn’t be where I am today with out her. Thank you for always pushing me to be better.
