Today is an official scan day for the transformation challenge I'm in through Nutrishop. This is my second breakfast of the day before my workout in 40 minutes. I've done every thing right leading up to this scan. Took Wednesday and Thursday as rest days, caught up on some good sleep last night sleeping 10 hours. I've been taking my protein and carb powder shakes every day. Been drinking my bcaas every day, some times twice a day. Woke up and had my shake early this morning. Having bcaas with this meal of egg whites, 1 yolk and veggies for carbs. May have one more just protein shake post workout before my scan. Feeling really good and I hope it shows on paper. After today the final scan is 2 weeks away. Will definitely be grinding it out and finishing hella strong to hopefully take home the gold. I've been working so damn hard and more importantly, I've been keeping everything so consistent especially downing the protein shakes every single morning when I can't stand to drink them. Here's to whatever the near future holds when I step on that in body machine 💪🏽 nervous? My last go-round with #weightwatchers started in 2014, at my heaviest and most miserable. I lost ~40 lbs and made major life changes. I’d done a pretty good job at maintaining, but some newfound happiness and a lot of (largely election-driven) depression led me to creep back up about 10 lbs over 2 years, then another 5 this fall, then a quick and dirty 5 this past holiday season. I have about 20 to lose to get back to that last point of maintenance, but my body is not the same now, having committed myself to yoga in the last couple of years, so we’ll see where the scale goes. In January, I did my first #whole30, and this is my scale progress since the start of #2018. I'm still in disbelief and weighed myself a hundred times this morning and yet still having a hard time believing it. To FINALLY be at my pre pregnancy weight feels damn good. I started the last week of December and then kicked it into high gear in January and started working out everyday with an occasional day off. In two months I've lost 17lbs of pure fat and GAINED muscle and strength. The most difficult times were getting over that hump where you feel stuck and feel like you're not progressing anymore. You WILL hit that point! You absolutely have to keep pushing through it. I teach proper nutrition, guide my clients in learning and implementing life long changes so that they can finally ditch the yo-yo diets, long hours at the gym with little to no change and that funk of just not feeling their best.  Chris is a perfect example of how changing those old habits helped him gain much more then the weight he lost." This is what he has to say: "I’ve always been active and in great shape since I was 17. Though after my daughter was born, having 2 jobs, and a busy schedule, I slowly began to lose my grip on health and I got to be my heaviest at 245! I developed unhealthy food addictions, like celebrating AND consoling myself with a Hershey bar and a beer. I would even hide M&M’s from my wife, stashing them in the glove compartment. I was tired, unmotivated, and sick almost every other month. I couldn’t keep up with my daughter, I was depressed, and was just not myself. I had tried everything, you name it... beachbody, body for life, hydroxycut, working out and eating right…everything, but I could not do all of that, work 2 jobs, spend time with my family, and handle all that life throws at me. It was simply too much to tackle all at once. It wasn’t until I began to solely focus on my nutrition, changing the way I thought about nutrition in the past, that I was able to make lasting healthy changes. Now I’m in the best shape of my life at 175 with 10-12 lbs of muscle mass and I feel amazing! I can keep up with my family and kids, and at the ripe age of 40, I outran a college freshman football player in a game of backyard football. I sleep so deep and I’m fully rested when I wake up at 6:00am. I’m happier than I’ve been in a long time, and I just feel SO good!"
