do you ever lay in bed, in the silence and in the dark. and think of someone you love very dearly. and all of the events that led to you two being together. and how your heart genuinely enjoys their existence. wow.
Day Two of the Writer's Digest Conference was intense and a blast! Met awesome new friends playing a game of "Vulnerability is Sexy." It involved arm wresting, high kicks and Ian McKellen impersonations among many other things. Listened to a Pulitzer Prize winner give a keynote. Great panels on blogging, novel revision, best of the day was on culture-specific writing with Anjali Mitter Duva. Then there was the big one: PitchSlam. Literally every pitch was a success, including full manuscript requests. One agent even asked for both novels! Met and admired @Nate_The_Emporer. We pitched the same agent in our last minutes there and both got page requests. Such amazing company, learning and opportunities. Thank you @writersdigest! #wdc17#wdc#writersdigestconference#pitchslam#pitchslam2017#vulnerabilityissexy#writingtribe#writelife#amwriting#writersconquest#authorofnerdythings
I put everything back upright. Less remaining free space, but Earl has already suggested adding another case. I am not going to argue. Upside of rearranging the shelves quarterly: finding books put back out of order. I apparently forgot the alphabet a few times in the last three months. (Note: footstool was there for a different project.... I'm not *that* short.)
