The first YWCA was formed over a century ago by 4 forward-thinking women to provide a safe haven for women and families in our city. Today it is one of Calgary's largest social agencies and has served tens of thousands of lives. This Saturday we perform in support of YW! We have an outstanding program planned for you. Tickets are available in the link in our bio, can't wait to see you there! #yyc#yycmusic#ywca

#csw61 has come to an end! YWCA Haiti young woman Sophia Pierre-Antoine participated through the World YWCA by organizing and moderating Online Consultations with the UN's Interagency Network on Youth&Gender Equality, and young woman Anick Jasmin attended both the #worldywca#waggs and #unwomen's Youth Forum as well as official sessions. Read #ywcahaiti young woman Anick Jasmin's thoughts on her first CSW! #youngwomenrise#youthcsw61 "My week at the CSW was the best week of my life so far, every single person I met was passionate driven and fighting in their own way for gender equality. I had the chance to stay with the @ywcahaiti and @worldywca delegation, a group of smart and eloquent young women who taught me so so much. The #ywca for me is the embodiment of the "Safe Space" Model, and organization that accepts every single person exactly the way they are and helps them improve and empower themselves."
