Miss Jadey Flynn, I’m so pleased to have met someone equally as quirky and silly as me 😂 As I told you last night, never stop being you! I will miss you lots crazy lady! You always bring a smile to my face!
So I decided 3 weeks ago that I needed to lose some weight. I was getting by with telling myself I was happy eating chicken nuggets and chips in bed most nights (don’t judge me) and that I should be happy in my skin. But I wasn’t fitting into my clothes like I was before and when I found out I was 6kg heavier than what my normal weight is (and don’t forget I’m 5’1) I decided things need to change. ... My weight has always been like a freakin’ rollercoaster. I gain weight, I freak out and cry 😭😭 I manage to lose the weight - and then I get complacent. And after 6 months I put some of it on again. I’m not sure exactly where 6kg came from though 🧐 I think some darn good hummus and Mr Birdseye are to blame 😂 ... So 3 weeks ago I decided to cut down my portions sizes, eat fewer carbs because that is my biggest problem (and Lordy I put on weight just from looking at them) saying goodbye to sweet treats, high fat animal products like cheese and definitely less alcohol. .... This is a before photo on the left after I came back from Dubai around October 15th and the right was this week. I’m happy with my progress so far but please if there’s anyone else out there who really struggles with their thighs and hips please let me know because my Mediterranean bottom half is far from skinny jean sexy. And let’s not talk about cellulite 😂 .... There have been people who have inspired me before I started training and each week I’m going to pick one to share with you. This week is @billiekeane 🙋🏼♀️ I have been lurking and watching all your amazing hard work and I think you should know lovely lady that it does inspire others too! Her progress pic shows how important patience is and how hard work DOES pay off. It’s not an overnight process. It can takes months...a YEAR EVEN! I encourage you to share your progress and tag someone who has motivated you this week! ♥️ .... Double-tap this post if this inspired you to work towards at
Waffles, fresh fruit, endless stations of delicious food for Breakfast! 😍 I loved the smoothies in Bulb pots on a grass bedding too 🌱 Last December we visited Dubai to feature 6 different hotels in 6 days! Crazy! Let me know if you want to know which one I rated the best - I chose a range of affordable to luxury hotels and some did not meet expectations! 🤔 #thefabulousfoodie
Celebrating my 18th Birthday at Bubbalicious Brunch at the Westin, Dubai. My Mum knew this was the best in Dubai and my parents went all out for my 18th. They made me feel so special and I hope one day I can do the same for them ♥️ This was 6 years ago now, before we moved back to the U.K... I was thinking about all of the many wonderful things that made growing up in Dubai with my parents so special - the fact that I was lucky enough to learn how to play the piano, the violin, to sing and doing opera, drama and musical theatre and all of the amazing classical music concerts we would watch and support together as a family from a young age. Today, going to support a colleague in a show reminded me of how often I used to go to watch music recitals and concerts because it was something we loved to do and had a fantastic community of friends and familiar faces that we’d grown up with in the Classical music scene over there. It leads me to say that sometimes things can seem a bit lost, and if they do, then that’s okay. Growing up shouldn’t mean leaving behind or swapping the things you used to do as a child or adolescent. Singing and Art used to be my everything, but when I left Dubai, I left it behind and I haven’t sang in 6 years now. I don’t really believe in New Year’s Resolutions but a personal goal I’ve noted to myself is to start singing again. And when I do, I promise to show you, because it’s been long overdue! I strongly encourage you to revisit something you used to do and be good at, it’s never too late ♥️
